FACILITIES SUPERVISOR (CIVIL/ELECTRICAL)

Reports To:HR Manager

Summary:

The Facilities Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of all aspects of the organization's facilities. This includes overseeing maintenance, repairs, security, cleaning, and other facility-related services. The Supervisor ensures that the environment meets the needs of its users and complies with relevant regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Leadership:
  • Direct, train, and evaluate the performance of the facilities team (maintenance technicians, cleaning staff, service providers).
  • Assign tasks and schedules to ensure comprehensive coverage of all facility operations.
  • Monitor the quality of work and adherence to procedures and standards.

Maintenance and Repair:

  • Plan and implement schedules for routine and preventative maintenance of buildings, systems, and equipment.
  • Coordinate and execute both emergency and routine repair work efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor the inventory of spare parts and consumable materials necessary for maintenance.
  • Liaise with external contractors, oversee their work, and ensure quality.

Cleaning and Orderliness:

  • Supervise daily and periodic cleaning operations to ensure a clean and healthy work environment.
  • Monitor the quality of cleaning materials and equipment used.
  • Ensure the orderliness and organization of common areas and offices.

Service Management:

  • Coordinate with external facility service providers (catering, transportation, waste disposal).
  • Monitor the quality of services provided and ensure adherence to contracts.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Communicate effectively with various departments and employees regarding facility-related issues.
  • Address user complaints and inquiries related to facilities and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Prepare periodic reports on the status of facilities and activities performed.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of [5] years of experience in facilities management or supervising teams.
  • Good knowledge of building systems and equipment plumbing, electrical, fire suppression systems.
  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and 1 manage priorities.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office).
  • Fluency in English (both spoken and written) is preferred.
  • Fluency in Arabic is required.
  • Previous work experience in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is required.
