OHTL SITE MANAGER (ELECTRICAL)

  • Site Manager (Electrical) EHV Overhead Transmission Lines (OHTL)

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Site Leadership & Management:
  • Manage all site construction activities forEHV OHTL projectsfrom mobilization to completion.
  • Lead and supervise site engineers, foremen, technicians, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, company policies, and project specifications.
  1. Planning & Execution:
  2. Develop site execution plans, schedules, and manpower/resource allocation.
  3. Monitor daily work progress and ensure milestones are achieved on time.
  4. Coordinate tower erection, stringing, sagging, and testing activities according to the approved method statements.
  5. Ensure all electrical activities (including assembly, erection of towers, conductor stringing, and fittings) meet technical standards and quality requirements.
  6. Review and verify installation drawings, plans, and material specifications.
  7. Resolve technical issues at the site promptly in coordination with the engineering team.
  8. Enforce HSE policies and procedures across the site.
  9. Conduct toolbox talks, safety audits, and ensure compliance with statutory and company HSE requirements.
  10. Manage the availability of manpower, equipment, and materials at the site.
  11. Coordinate with logistics and procurement teams for timely supply chain management.
  12. Liaise with client representatives, consultants, government authorities, and project managers.
  13. Attend project meetings and provide regular updates on site progress and issues.
  14. Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
  15. Maintain accurate records of site activities, material usage, and manpower deployment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineeringor equivalent.
  • 10+ yearsof experience in site management forExtra High Voltage (EHV) Overhead Transmission Line projects.
  • Proven track record of managing380kVor higher OHTL projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical transmission standards, site erection practices, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera, and other project management tools.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and in remote project locations.
