We are looking for a Data Center Engineer L1 who reflects the innovative spirit, creative talent, production excellence, and a collaborative mindset.

A Data Center Engineer L1 is responsible for servers, storage, HCI, backup implementation, and support. Assist in deployment and troubleshooting compute, storage, and data protection issues under the supervision of senior engineers.

What you'll be doing

We seek a motivated and detail-oriented Data Center Engineer L1 with 2 years of experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the implementation, installation, and basic support of servers, HCI systems, storage solutions, and virtualization environments. This role requires hands-on experience with technologies from vendors such as Dell, HPE, and VMware, as well as knowledge of backup solutions using Veeam. The candidate will also contribute to documentation, including Low-Level Designs (LLD) and As-Built documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform installation and implementation of servers, storage systems, and hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) from vendors such as Dell and HPE.
  2. Assist in the deployment and configuration of virtualization environments, primarily VMware.
  3. Manage and operate backup solutions using Veeam, including job creation, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting.
  4. Collaborate with senior engineers to support and maintain data center infrastructure.
  5. Create and maintain technical documentation, including Low-Level Design (LLD) and As-Built documentation.
  6. Support day-to-day data center operations, including equipment racking, cabling, and hardware maintenance.
  7. Follow best practices and procedures to ensure a secure, stable, and high-performing environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Basic knowledge of server hardware and storage systems (Dell, HPE).
  2. Experience with VMware virtualization (installation and configuration).
  3. Familiarity with Veeam Backup & Replication.
  4. Understanding of networking fundamentals and data center operations.
  5. Ability to produce and maintain technical documentation.
  6. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  7. Ability to work effectively in a team and under guidance.

Preferred:

  1. Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar degree (preferred).
  2. Solid working knowledge of Apple / Microsoft and/or Linux Operating Systems and their integration in an enterprise environment.
  3. Basic networking knowledge.
  4. Experience with Ticket Tools.
