Job description

Senior IT Infrastructure Technical Specialist

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Application, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in site-based or construction project environments preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, hardware maintenance, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with construction/project management software is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced site environment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to be stationed full-time at a remote or active construction site.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install, configure, and maintain hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, network devices) at the project site.
  2. Set up and maintain internet connections, LAN/WAN infrastructure, and communication systems.
  3. Provide first-line technical support to site personnel, including troubleshooting hardware/software/network issues.
  4. Coordinate with the central IT team for system updates, backups, and security compliance.
  5. Ensure cybersecurity measures are enforced and adhered to across all devices and users on-site.
  6. Manage IT asset inventory and conduct periodic audits of site equipment.
  7. Support project-specific software (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera, ERP systems) and ensure functionality.
  8. Maintain logs of issues and resolutions; generate periodic reports for management.
  9. Implement and monitor backup procedures and ensure data protection standards.
  10. Train staff on IT systems usage and best practices.
