Overview

We are seeking an experienced Rotating Equipment Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Excellence organization under the Downstream Reliability Solutions Department.

Department Description

The Reliability Solutions Department (RSD) provides engineering support to Saudi Aramco's global facilities in refining, NGL processing, and petrochemicals. This includes reliability, inspection, corrosion management, static equipment, rotating equipment, electrical equipment, instrumentation, and control support.

Role Summary

Your primary role as a Rotating Equipment Engineer is to lead the organization and support our facilities to achieve the highest level of reliability for plant rotating equipment through systematic approaches and coordinated efforts. You will also implement comprehensive systems to benchmark, identify gaps, and deploy solutions to enhance equipment reliability and foster continuous improvement. Additionally, you will collaborate with subject matter experts and multidisciplinary teams on troubleshooting, investigations, and technical programs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with SMEs and management to drive reliability initiatives for rotating equipment.
2. Develop and implement strategies to improve equipment availability and performance.
3. Proactively identify and address potential issues impacting reliability.
4. Serve as a reliability consultant within the organization.
5. Ensure compliance with corporate standards, processes, and guidelines.
6. Coordinate with corporate entities on reliability initiatives for alignment.
7. Develop digital solutions and tools related to rotating equipment and analytics.
8. Perform online vibration analysis using systems like Bently Nevada System1 or similar.
9. Utilize predictive maintenance technologies for equipment evaluation.
10. Support projects, turnarounds, and lead commissioning and startups of rotating equipment.
11. Provide technical support and quality checks for machinery in workshops.
12. Develop technical reports and documentation.
13. Maintain strong IT and PdM technology skills.
14. Demonstrate strong communication, leadership, and professional skills.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2. At least 15 years of experience in rotating equipment, including 5 years in troubleshooting and assessments.
3. Knowledge of engineering practices, codes, and standards such as API610, API611, API612, API614, API617, API618, API682, API692, API691.
4. Ability to analyze vibration data; vibration certification is a plus.
5. Strong leadership skills for managing technical discussions and guiding teams.
