Job description

The process manager will be responsible for overseeing the design of process packages developed by the EPC contractor. In this position, the process manager will ensure that all treatment systems are designed in compliance with the project initial specifications, regulations, contractual obligations, and best operating practices applicable to such facilities.

Detailed Job Description

1. Provides comprehensive technical inputs to the Owners Engineer / EPC contractor throughout the design development phase.
2. Coordinates with internal process experts to ensure accurate inputs and assumptions.
3. Reviews the design process and all associated technical documents to ensure compliance with project legal, environmental, operating, performance, and availability requirements.
4. Reviews or organizes the review of all produced process and process safety-related documents, formulates comments, and gives approval according to the agreement.
5. Reviews the selected Technology packages proposed by the EPC jointly with the Owners Engineer.
6. Offers technical assistance during Hazop and other necessary studies throughout the execution stage.
7. Reviews the consistency of utilities, ancillaries, and the balance of plant in terms of heat & mass, utilities, storage volumes, and process safety (Atex, firefighting, etc.), particularly regarding interfaces with technology / licensors packages.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated successful experience in the development and delivery of engineering for large and complex process projects.
• Preference for candidates with experience in the Oil & Gas industry or Chemical Industry.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
• Previous experience in the Hazardous Waste Industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of water treatment processes, technologies, and equipment.
• Ability to work with an Electronic Documentation Management System.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace tools, and common professional software (e.g., MS Project).
