Responsible for recording, classifying, and summarizing financial transactions and deriving results from them. Analyze these results and present them in the form of various reports used by management for decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Enter accounting entries and data into the computer system and perform necessary comparisons.
- Follow up on any receivables or payables of the company and record them in the system through entries on the computer or supplier/third-party accounts.
- Maintain accounting ledgers and record and post accounting entries.
- Participate in counting daily sales amounts.
- Conduct banking transactions through the company's bank account.
- Archive financial documents in both paper and electronic formats.
- Participate in the periodic inventory count for branches, warehouses, and the main treasury.
- Assist in preparing tax returns.
- Assist in providing the data required for the final accounts and balance sheet, and prepare adjusting entries.
- Prepare financial claims, follow up on collections, and review receivable accounts.
- Assist in preparing the Zakat declaration in accordance with the regulations of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority in coordination with the financial auditor and the Finance Manager.
- Record financial transactions in chronological order and by type.
- Classify and categorize financial transactions into separate accounts that reflect:
- The company’s receivables and payables with relevant parties.
- The company's expenses and revenues.
- The company's assets and liabilities.
- Provide the company’s management with all necessary information in the form of periodic or non-periodic accounting reports and financial statements.
- Follow up on banks and banking transactions.
- Assist in preparing budgets and business plans.
- Document financial transactions.
- Monitor the collections file on a daily basis.
- Contact financial institutions on behalf of the company and resolve issues related to the company’s finances in coordination with the Finance Manager or direct supervisor.
- Record and disburse employees’ salaries and wages.
- Issue periodic follow-up reports on various financial operations.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the authorized person related to the scope of work.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Preferably registered with the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA).
