Job description

Purpose of this Position:

The deputy head of Finance assists the head of finance in supervising all financial tasks of the company and ensures the optimal use of capital and resources to maintain the company's financial health and increase profitability in the long run.

Key Objectives:

Creating forecasting models, assessing investment risks, and ensuring all accounting activities comply with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting and financial status and stability of SGPC.
  2. Conduct risk assessment and management.
  3. Evaluate and decide on investments.
  4. Allocate resources and manage cash flows.
  5. Conduct profit and cost analyses.
  6. Develop secure procedures to maintain confidential information.
  7. Ensure all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations.
  8. Establish targets and manage all accounting and finance employees, including management accountants and internal auditors.
  9. Supervise all internal control processes.
  10. Prepare detailed reports on the company's financial performance.
  11. Recognize patterns in company spending and revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas.
Qualifications and Competencies:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting.
  • At least 15 years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Solid analytical, financial, and accounting background, including understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow management, and budgeting.
  • Ability to quickly understand new issues and make informed decisions.
  • Wide knowledge of budget management, accounting, and cash flow.
  • In-depth understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation, and bookkeeping.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality.
