Job description

For a big leading manufacturing company in Food & Beverage industry located in Riyadh, KSA, we are hiring a HSE - Health Safety Environmental Engineer. We are seeking to hire 2 positions, one in Riyadh and second in Qassaim. The ideal candidate will develop and implement hazard control designs, methods, procedures safety programs to prevent Or correct unsafe environmental working conditions for protection Of people, property and environment. Will need to utilize knowledge in industrial processes, mechanics, chemistry, psychology, industrial health and safety laws.

Responsibilities:

  1. Examines plans and specifications for new machinery or equipment to determine all safety pre-cautions that's required as per company policy.
  2. Monitors plant and employee accommodation facilities to inspect fire and safety equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  3. Conducts / coordinates safety and first aid training to educate workers about safety policies, laws and practices.
  4. Implements, administers and advise others on hazard control programs and determines requirement for safety clothing and devices, builds and installs Or directs installation Of safety devices on machinery.
  5. Investigates industrial accidents to minimize reoccurrence and prepares accident reports.
  6. Forecasts future safety plans and statement based on real-time experiences and facts to ensure minimize incidents.
  7. Conducts air quality tests for presence of harmful gases and vapors as per law.
  8. Deals with government departments, documents, policies, programs and machines.
  9. Effectively communicate with direct manager, department heads, and government agencies through written and verbal communications.

Requirements:

  1. Engineering degree preferably in Mechanical or Industrial field.
  2. Possess education, training and professional experience in industrial hygiene & toxicology, engineering safety, hazard controls, fire protection, accident investigation, process safety and, construction safety.
  3. A minimum Of (5) years Of experience in industrial / manufacturing environment, with minimum (2) of them in HSE position.
  4. Fluent in English language.
  5. HSE certification preferred but not essential.
