Job Description Summary

The GA SABAP Cluster Substation Automation Junior Engineer will execute Digital Control System (DCS) engineering activities for assigned projects, involving project design tasks aligned with the Engineering Process. The successful candidate will be responsible for the performance of these design engineering activities.

Job Description

The Early Career Training program is an investment in young talents, providing training for fresh graduates who meet the criteria to undertake traineeships within a GE business. The program duration varies and aims to develop general skills, technical knowledge, and on-the-job experience. Positions require understanding of concepts, methods, and procedures.

What You’ll Do
  1. Execute DCS Engineering activities for assigned projects, considering quality, cost, and time.
  2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to specify and design projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards.
  3. Prepare all necessary documentation for panel integration.
  4. Ensure timely delivery of designs to stakeholders with quality assurance, including partner documents.
  5. Validate designs during customer acceptance, check document consistency, and manage evolving customer requirements.
  6. Support site organization during preparation and commissioning, ensuring adherence to Quality Procedures and work instructions.
  7. Assist factory during FAT preparations and conduct validations for successful project delivery.
  8. Demonstrate EHS compliance, promote Zero Deviation Plans, and foster a safe work environment.
  9. Communicate effectively with customers to ensure excellent service and maintain strong relationships.
What You’ll Bring
  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  2. Basic experience in substation automation projects.
  3. Ability to understand and prepare design documents for automation projects.
  4. Experience in configuring substation automation systems and understanding communication protocols.
  5. Good communication skills in English and/or Arabic.
  6. Willingness to travel regionally.
