Early Career Trainee – Quality Project Manager Support

The Early Career Traineeship is designed for fresh graduates where Baker Hughes will train fresh talent who meet the required criteria to perform their traineeship in a specific business. The traineeship duration is 12 months in Dammam, KSA and will develop your technical knowledge and soft skills and provide on-the-job learning and exposure.

As part of our Early Career Traineeship, you will be involved in:

  • Attending classroom trainings and field jobs to fully understand quality project management and quality assurance. By the end of the training program, you shall possess comprehensive knowledge of quality control requirements of centrifugal compressors, turbomachinery packaging and testing activities, workshop operations, business targets and policies.
  • Attending Pre-Inspection Meetings with customers.
  • Leading inspection notifications and tests to the customer’s representative, ensuring respect for contractual notification timing and verifying the approval of the documentation used for inspection.
  • Attending final inspections of compressor skids with customer inspectors, ensuring customer satisfaction and timely clarification of issues when possible, collaborating and engaging with other functions to support as required.
  • Reviewing the punch list to ensure the points are managed and closed by functions.
  • Checking and issuing final inspection punch lists for the compressor skid to the customer and monitoring its resolution, and following up with the customer on IRC/IRN issuance.
  • Attending tests and inspection activities with customer inspectors for critical inspections when required.
  • Attending meetings with the customer’s representative when requested.
  • Issuing NCR through the e-NCR system for scenarios described in the applicable procedures.
  • Collecting and reporting all complaints (NCR) received by the customer, recording the data and archiving customer deviation requests.
  • Ensuring materials certification is available for the customer at the requested date in collaboration with QPM, Project Team, Sourcing, and Manufacturing departments.
  • Ensuring that the documentation concerning the procedures for inspections, tests, or certification is issued and monitoring their implementation.
  • Leading periodical reviews with the MDR team and monitoring the progress of data collection, verifying the correctness of the final MDR book through check activities with Customer Representatives.
  • Participating in periodical meetings with Project Team members and Manufacturing teams.
  • Identifying and listing the Lessons Learned applicable for the project during the course of packaging.
  • Conducting and leading continuous improvement activities (RCA/NCA) and Quality improvement initiatives when required.
  • Analyzing quality performance using statistical and analytical tools and methods.
  • Interfacing with customers/third-party or certifying authority representatives as required to discuss/resolve quality-related issues.
  • Supporting QMR preparation with statistical & analytical data.

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Aerospace Engineering, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or Chemical Engineering. Graduated from your bachelor’s degree within the last 24 months.
  • Be fluent in written and spoken English and have effective communication skills.
  • Be inquisitive and present a thirst for knowledge.
  • Have the capability of working under pressure.
  • Have a self-starting attitude.
