Job description

ABANA Enterprises Group Co. is seeking an experienced OSP Quality Manager to oversee the quality assurance processes within our Outside Plant (OSP) projects. The OSP Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all projects meet the highest quality standards and comply with industry regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of quality management principles applicable to OSP installations.


Position Summary/Objective:


The role of an OSP Quality Manager is to ensure the balanced utilization of all Field Technicians. Conduct random site visits to check on the quality of work, presentability, and cleanliness of company vehicles, Technicians' uniforms, and proper grooming. Conduct periodic meetings to discuss operational issues aimed at improving productivity and quality of cable work. Address concerns of subordinates, which may include work-related and personal issues that could affect their performance and the team's overall effectiveness.


Duties/Core Responsibilities:


  • Manage and monitor the progress of all Field Technicians.
  • Manage the quality team of supervisors and contractors.
  • Coordinate with clients to understand and meet project requirements.
  • Follow up on productivity and workload distribution from Controllers.
  • Guide the team and contractors to adhere to project standards in quality and safety.
  • Handle client quality applications and reports.
  • Monitor Quality Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Perform site visits during survey and implementation phases.
  • Participate in quality meetings and stakeholder interviews at the client site.
  • Submit accident and incident reports as required.
  • Communicate project status to managers on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure projects are completed within scope and timelines.
  • Develop engineering specifications and adhere to engineering standards.
  • Perform route analysis and develop fiber route maps (aerial and underground).
  • Oversee fiber verification and mapping activities.
  • Maintain records of fiber splicing and topography.
  • Develop procedures for mitigation and restoration during emergencies such as fiber damages or power failures.
  • Utilize CAD and other software for engineering designs.
  • Provide training to staff to meet project goals.
  • Conduct routine inspections of OSP networks.
  • Obtain necessary permits for OSP projects.
  • Inspect digging sites before and after work, ensuring municipal closure on time.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the direct manager.
