Job description

Master-Works is looking for an experienced Data Governance Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring data integrity, compliance, and security across our clients' data management strategies. As a Data Governance Consultant, you will work closely with stakeholders to establish data governance frameworks, policies, and standards that align with industry regulations and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement data governance frameworks, policies, and guidelines aligned with business objectives.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with data regulations and establish a culture of data stewardship.
  3. Conduct assessments to identify data quality issues and implement corrective actions to enhance data integrity.
  4. Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate stakeholders on data governance policies and best practices.
  5. Monitor data governance initiatives and provide reports on progress, challenges, and areas for improvement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or data consulting.
  3. Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  4. Proven experience with data profiling, data quality assessments, and data lineage tracking.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. Certifications in data governance, such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP).
  2. Experience with data governance tools and technologies.
  3. Familiarity with data management best practices, including metadata management, data classification, and data retention policies.
