• Ensures a tidy workplace in the central laboratory.
• Examines and prepares samples for testing.
• Prepares the testing schedule of the central laboratory and issues internal testing instructions to heads of departments.
• Overall responsibility of the maintenance of all laboratory equipment, vehicles, training apparatus, documents, books, manuals and inventory allocations.
• Directs and advises personnel in special test procedures to analyze components and physical properties of construction materials.
• Tests and analyzes sample products for chemical properties such as chlorides, sulfates, organic impurities, organic matter, pH, and Total dissolved solids.
• Conducts field sampling, testing, and nondestructive testing.
• Tests, analyzes and approves samples for physical properties according to all the standards adopted by the company.
• Ensures implementation of all health and safety adopted procedures.
• Compiles and analyzes test information to determine operating efficiency of process or equipment and to diagnose malfunctions.
• Meets with inspectors, engineers, contractors, and/or developers to determine corrective action required when there are discrepancies between work done and the approved plans, specifications and standards.
• Calculates and checks the test results and assists in the preparation of the report.
• Reviews final test reports as directed by the Laboratory Manager.
• Ensures that test equipment in the central laboratory is timely and regularly maintained.
