Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new pumping systems and improve existing designs using engineering principles and analysis.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D models and manufacturing drawings using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).
- Perform hydraulic and mechanical calculations, including pump performance analysis, stress analysis (FEA), and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) as needed.
- Select appropriate pump components, materials, and sealing systems based on application requirements and cost considerations.
- Develop and execute testing protocols to validate pump performance, efficiency, and reliability.
- Analyze test data and implement design modifications to optimize pump performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, sales, and marketing, to ensure successful product development and market introduction.
- Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, performance reports, and installation manuals.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to pump design and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technological advancements, and relevant standards related to pump design.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide technical support to customers and internal teams as required.
Knowledge and experiences:
- 6+ years of experience in pump design and development.
- Proficiency in CAD software for 2D and 3D modelling and drafting.
- Experience with FEA and CFD software for design analysis and optimization.
- Willing to travel internationally, including to China.
- Confident in English communication.
- Willing to learn and adapt to the new tasks and environment.
- Good problem-solving skills with a drive for results.
- Ability to build peer relationships as well as work independently.
Education and certifications:
Bachelor’s or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent is required.
