FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER - up to $85K

Travel expectation: 3-4 days per week (home most weekends), 3 weeks per month. Always home at least 1 full week monthly.

Our client, a leading capital equipment supplier, is experiencing significant growth in North America and is seeking an experienced FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER to join their team.

Position Summary

We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to service and install equipment across North America. The successful candidate will provide high-level technical support to external customers with minimal supervision. Responsibilities include on-site installation, validation, commissioning of new equipment, diagnosing and repairing existing machines, training users on equipment functionality, and providing remote support. The role also involves service coordination, customer support, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide on-site installation, validation, and commissioning of instruments.
  2. Perform hands-on troubleshooting, servicing, and repairs on-site.
  3. Deliver high-level technical support to customers at their locations.
  4. Train customers on equipment operation.
  5. Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as field applications, customer support/services, product management, manufacturing, and marketing/sales.
  6. Develop and maintain service technical documentation.
  7. Create and update service information in the company database.
  8. Handle field service calls professionally and promptly, triaging issues with field application scientists as needed.
  9. Complete and submit all required paperwork timely.
  10. Communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction and implement corrective actions as necessary.
