Job Description


Summary
Performs imaging procedures utilizing magnetic resonance scanners.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
• Reviews exam orders and protocols, clarify questions with supervisors, and prepare for exams as needed.
• Explains procedures to patients, prepare equipment, supplies, contrast media, and medications.
• Adjusts and operate MRI equipment to scan designated areas, ensuring proper image quality.
• Monitors patient safety and comfort during the scan, retrieve and process data for interpretation or archiving.
• Assess completed tests for quality and completeness, and document all studies performed.
• Performs routine equipment maintenance, report malfunctions, and perform quality control checks.
• Participates in staff meetings, in-services, and continuing education; assist in training and supervising students and interns.
• Evaluates completed tests for quality and completeness. Documents all studies performed
• Adheres to section policies, radiation safety regulations, and apply ALARA principles for all procedures
Education
Bachelor s Degree in Radiology Sciences/Radiological technology is required.
Experience Required
Grade 08:
Two (2) years of related experiences is required.
Grade 09:
• Four (4) years as a MRI Technologist at KFSH&RC, or (Grade 08) related experience is required.
• Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years.
• Fifty (50) hours of cumulative continued medical education [CME] is required.
