This position reports to

Manufacturing Unit Manager - ELBP

Your role and responsibilities

  1. Execute purchasing and logistics strategies to support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products.
  2. Design and implement plans and effective strategies for local sourcing of products/materials to reach business targets.
  3. Support the Procurement Manager in implementing effective local sourcing strategies aligned with business strategy to meet current and future requirements.
  4. Ensure alignment between local procurement activities and division strategy.
  5. Apply and implement procurement standards, tools, and processes in your area of responsibility to secure quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability.
  6. Track procurement processes and activities, create and update reports following ABB standards.
  7. Resolve issues related to procurement cost, quality, and delivery within your area.
  8. Monitor internal and supplier performance KPIs, address quality issues, and implement development actions.
  9. Execute and implement new changes related to purchasing and logistics within your responsibility.
  10. Participate in training programs to ensure compliance and foster professional development.
  11. Maintain effective and transparent communication internally, externally, and between different units and centers.

Qualifications for the role

  1. Bachelor's degree in business, economics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  2. 2 to 5 years of experience in procurement and logistics, with high-level communication and negotiation skills, analytical prowess, and technical experience with ERP tools and software.
  3. Essential & preferable requirements include: Microsoft Office, ERP, Data Entry, Contract Management, Negotiation, and Communication skills.
  4. Experience with SAP Ariba, cost management, and time management.
  5. Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is required.
