Job description

The Application Specialist will use their healthcare, business, and InterSystems product knowledge to ensure the successful, standard, and timely contracting and implementation of InterSystems products. The Application Specialist will become an expert Nursing resource for customers, understanding customer processes, assessing the best fit solutions, and advising on early implementation strategies. They will also guide customers on maximizing benefits from the solutions while minimizing customer-specific work, liaising with various business areas accordingly. Staying updated with new product developments through the normal release cycle is essential. The role requires visiting customer sites and may involve regular travel, with the possibility of spending up to 5 days away from home each week.

Skills and Experience
Essential
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience in customer training, workshops, and presentations
  • Strong consultative skills to articulate and communicate ideas effectively
  • Experience interacting directly with customers, including clinicians, confidently delivering messaging
  • At least 3 years of experience in healthcare with a good understanding of clinical processes
  • Experience with EMR systems
  • Understanding of Hospital Information Systems, Patient Administration Systems (PAS), and Clinical Information Systems
  • Experience working in a nursing role within a hospital environment
  • Experience contributing to multidisciplinary teams
  • Experience in writing functional documents
  • Experience with business process mapping
  • Knowledge of Information Systems

Desirable

  • Experience communicating with key stakeholders at various levels within healthcare organizations, including government/public and private sectors
  • Experience implementing software solutions
  • Exposure to IT services in a customer-facing setting
  • Previous experience as an Application or Configuration Specialist
  • Experience with change management
  • Good computer skills
  • Experience conducting software testing
Education & Training
  • University degree, preferably Nursing Degree with ICU, oncology, and maternity experience
