A leading company in the interior designing industry is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to oversee health, safety, and environmental processes in building construction projects. The role involves developing HSE strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a safety culture on-site. We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager with proven expertise in managing HSE processes specifically within building construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing HSE strategies, ensuring compliance with regulations, and fostering a culture of safety on construction sites.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement comprehensive HSE plans tailored to building construction projects.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate HSE considerations into project schedules and workflows.
• Provide strategic leadership in promoting a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
• Lead by example and actively engage with project teams to reinforce safety priorities.
• Stay abreast of local and international HSE regulations applicable to building construction.
• Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments for construction activities and identify potential hazards.
• Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize risks to personnel and property.
• Oversee the development and delivery of HSE training programs for project personnel.
• Foster a culture of safety awareness and accountability on construction sites.
• Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses and analyze root causes.
• Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to enhance safety.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of HSE activities, incident reports, and training records.
• Generate regular reports for project stakeholders and senior management.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first aid protocols.
• Conduct drills and exercises to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
• Conduct internal and external audits to assess the effectiveness of HSE processes.
• Work closely with third-party auditors to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in HSE management within building construction projects.
• Professional certifications related to HSE are highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of construction safety regulations and best practices.
• Ability to influence and drive a positive safety culture.
• Proficient in using HSE software and tools.
