Head of Engineering

We are in the hunt for a dynamic Director of Engineering to join a vibrant team in West Africa, overseeing a luxurious 500-room, 5-star property with multiple outlets and catering facilities.

About the Role:

As the Director of Engineering, you'll be at the helm of the property's maintenance and refurbishment initiatives, spearheading a proactive maintenance program to ensure top-notch guest experiences. Your expertise in leading large engineering departments will be paramount as you guide and inspire the team to excellence. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in African markets, understanding the unique demands and opportunities of the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and manage a comprehensive preventive maintenance program.
• Lead and mentor a talented engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Oversee refurbishment projects to uphold the property's 5-star standards.
• Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
• Utilise your experience in branded properties to uphold and enhance the property's presentation.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in engineering leadership roles within branded properties.
• Expertise in refurbishment projects and preventive maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with the African hospitality market is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
