Job Purpose
Analyze areas of pain/improvement, propose solutions, and translate the business requirements into functional and technical specifications. Design solutions using appropriate tools and models to ensure developers can accurately implement them to meet internal client needs.
Key Accountabilities
- Perform business analysis in coordination with the IMDT Enterprise Architecture team during solution design stages. Clarify and translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications, ensuring developers can implement them accurately and that the Product Lead, Solution Architect, and team understand the requirements.
- Understand the current technology landscape and application architecture. Support the product team lead in gathering and prioritizing technical business requirements for new or existing systems and in developing initial project plans based on these requirements.
- Conduct workshops with business stakeholders to assess if current technical capabilities meet new business requirements. Propose improvements, adaptations, or new system developments as needed.
- Support solution decision-making through information gathering and analysis of options, including 'build versus buy', sourcing, maintenance, operation, and cost/benefit analysis.
- Configure systems, perform setup, bug fixes, and enhancements according to procedures and SLAs to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Analyze change requests and application enhancements, collaborating with the solution design team to determine the best approach.
- Perform quality assurance on developments to ensure adherence to IsDB quality standards and customer requirements. Support user acceptance testing and assist in identifying root causes of issues.
- Partner with business units during user acceptance testing, report issues, and support root cause analysis.
- Document and maintain user manuals reflecting changes based on business requirements, describing application functionality and procedures for future reference and development.
- While analyzing business requirements, suggest re-engineering of business processes to improve workflow efficiency based on organizational strategies.
Academic and Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT.
- At least 3 years of experience in an IT environment with specific Business Analyst experience, including technical design.
- Experience with business requirements tracking using DEVOPS is preferred.
- Experience with business process modeling using tools like Visio or mind maps is preferred.
- Knowledge of change management is preferred.
