Job description

The Director of Asset Management role will be directly responsible for the properties under Asset Management/Advisory Agreements. Assist with Operator engagement across the Hospitality Asset portfolio by engaging in discussions with the Operators, negotiations of Hotel Management Agreements, Technical Service Agreements, Brand License Agreements and Branded Residences Agreements, if required.

  • Directly responsible for the properties under Asset Management/Asset Management Advisory Agreements.
  • Report to the Chief Executive on the progress of the Pre-Opening/Opening activities of Assets, including the monthly performance of the businesses – Financial and other indicators.
  • Assist with the discussions, negotiations, formalization and execution of Agreements and sourcing of further Brands/Operators for current unallocated sites.
  • Ensure best interest is reflected in the negotiated agreements.
  • Drive operating partners and hold them accountable in efforts to maximize service, quality, standards, and profitability.
  • Deepen the relationships with Partners on each Asset
  • Lead the function and ensure utilization of best practices resulting in growth of asset value through proactive and strategic property management.
  • Oversee operational asset performance, leveraging data and analytics to ensure success.
  • Work closely with internal AM Team to ensure timely reporting of Assets performance. Assist with weekly/monthly/BoD reports/slides for the Assets within the assigned portfolio - Under AMA.
  • Ensure regular property visits are conducted and adequate reporting is enforced to proactively manage and facilitate strategy execution.
  • Monitor the assigned Assets’ financial performance against the approved Budget, identifying areas of performance improvement, and recommend mitigating actions.

QUALIFICATION & RELATED REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Master’s degree in Hospitality, Business Administration or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is preferred.
  • Professional Hospitality experience in luxury/ ultra-luxury hotels/ resorts.
  • 15+ years of professional experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment in a leading organization.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of relevant stakeholders, governing bodies, committees, and regulatory organizations both nationally and internationally
  • Fluent in English is required, and fluency in Arabic preferred
