Job Description

Wood is looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Al-Khobar, Saudi Arabia.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for structural/infrastructure works including various building construction types, building design, equipment foundation design, and pipe and cable tray support design.
  • Originate new and revise existing engineering deliverables.
  • Revise and check engineering deliverables against company procedures, standards, and checklists.
  • Supervise engineering work produced by juniors.
  • Conduct and receive training related to the job as required.
  • Plan and complete work within allocated man-hours effectively and plan work to avoid slippage.
  • Interface, coordinate, and communicate effectively with the Project Manager and other team members.
  • Delegate and distribute work as well as manage the billability of the team.
  • Coordinate with all disciplines as necessary in the preparation and development of deliverables, ensuring input from other disciplines is incorporated.
  • Conduct site visits to verify site conditions, mark up drawings, and perform as-built activities.
  • Manage deliverables submission with quality checks and proper record management.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations.
  • Possess full knowledge of Aramco, Sabic, Royal Commission, SBC, and HCIS standards.
  • Conduct technical bid evaluations, review vendor documents, and manage subcontract scope.
Qualifications

Able to independently perform capacity and adequacy calculations, foundation, column, grade slab/beam layouts, sections and schedules, bar bending schedules, lift station design, road crossings, dike, culvert, and railing design, including proper paint and coating selection. Prepare scope for geotechnical and topographic surveys as required.

Mandatory
  • Minimum 10 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Experience with SmartPlant 3D.
  • Experience with Navisworks / SmartPlant review.
  • Experience with STAAD Pro.
  • Experience with STAAD Foundation.
  • Proficiency in Revit.
Preferred
  • Dynamic foundation design.
  • Modularization.
  • Experience with Microstation.
  • Experience with AutoCAD.
  • Experience with SACS.
  • Experience with Dyna6.
  • Experience with Tekla.
