Leads and manages the full spectrum of accounting operations across the organization. Oversees financial transactions, reporting, controls, compliance, and systems while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to local and international standards. Drives operational efficiency, enhances financial integrity, and supports strategic financial decision-making.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute the accounting operations strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
- Drive financial governance and contribute to enterprise-level financial planning and control.
- Provide leadership during transformation projects, mergers, systems integration, or compliance overhauls.
Financial Operations Oversight:
- Lead and monitor daily accounting functions, including GL, AP, AR, treasury, fixed assets, and payroll accounting.
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing process with strict adherence to timelines.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records, reconciliations, and audit trails.
Internal Controls, Risk & Compliance:
- Design and enforce internal controls framework to safeguard assets and ensure financial integrity.
- Ensure compliance with SOCPA, IFRS, ZATCA, and other legal/regulatory requirements.
- Manage relationships with external and internal auditors, ensuring full audit readiness and issue resolution.
Team Leadership & Capacity Building:
- Lead, develop, and structure a high-performing accounting team; establish KPIs and ensure continuous upskilling.
- Implement succession planning, mentorship, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Promote accountability, accuracy, and collaboration across the finance function.
Systems & Process Optimization:
- Drive automation and digitization of accounting operations to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with IT and ERP vendors to implement and improve financial systems and reporting tools.
- Lead change management initiatives to support financial modernization and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance:
- Serve as the key accounting contact for senior leadership, board reporting, and strategic initiatives.
- Ensure smooth coordination with HR, Procurement, Legal, and Operations for financial processes and compliance.
- Represent the organization in financial reviews with banks, regulatory bodies, and tax authorities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA, SOCPA, CMA, or other professional accounting certification It could be a plus.
- 10 -12 years of accounting experience, including at least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong background in financial operations, reporting, audit, and ERP systems.
- Experience in Saudi Arabia and familiarity with SOCPA, VAT, and local compliance is essential.
Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of IFRS, SOCPA, and Saudi tax regulations.
- Strong analytical and financial reporting skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Leadership, communication, and team development abilities.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and time management.
- Bilingual (Arabic & English) preferred.
