Post Title: Head of Communications and Events

Location: King’s College Riyadh

Reporting to: Headmaster

JOB PURPOSE

The post of Marketing & Communications Lead is a role that integrates marketing, communications, events, and stakeholder relations functions.

This role has a strategic element, requiring the person to play a leading part in devising the school's marketing, communications, and stakeholder relations strategy.

The Marketing & Communications Lead will create and implement an integrated programme of marketing, communications, and external relations to benefit the school maximally.

Reporting to the Headmaster, the Lead will collaborate closely with the Head of Admissions, the Senior Leadership Team, and regularly interact with the central team, including the Commercial Director.

The postholder will line manage the Front of House team.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is practical, creative, organized, and an exceptional communicator. They should be inspiring, with experience in shaping, developing, and implementing effective campaigns.

The candidate should demonstrate a successful track record in marketing, communications, PR, or a business environment. Experience in an educational setting is advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

This is a broad, hands-on role requiring empathy and commitment to high-quality education, aligned with the school's ethos and values. The candidate will be a key public face, responsible for all marketing and communication matters, working closely with the Headmaster and supported by the Group Commercial Director.

  • Follow educational specialists online for opportunities to contribute and network.
Outreach Activity
  • Engage with local organizations, ministries, nurseries, and feeder schools for collaborations and enrollment drives.
  • Organize community events and attend networking opportunities.
Other Responsibilities
  • Collaborate on marketing and communications planning.
  • Maintain relationships with media and influencers.
  • Produce newsletters and marketing collateral.
  • Support event delivery and manage digital content.
  • Ensure branding consistency.
  • Support reception and customer service when needed.
  • Create surveys for community insights.
  • Review competitor activities.
  • Generate marketing reports.
  • Oversee Front of House and support staff involved in marketing and communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
