Job Summary :

The Project Management Department Head oversees and manages all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery within the steel structure factory. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards while maintaining alignment with organizational goals. The role involves leading the project management team, coordinating with other departments, and fostering strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Leadership & Strategy :

  • Develop and implement strategies for efficient project management aligned with organizational goals.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the project management team to achieve performance excellence.
  • Establish policies and procedures to improve project delivery efficiency and quality.

2. Project Planning & Execution :

  • Oversee project scoping, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality standards.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.

3. Coordination & Collaboration :

  • Act as a liaison between the project management department, production, engineering, procurement, and sales teams.
  • Ensure seamless communication with clients, providing updates on project status and addressing concerns.
  • Oversee contract reviews and manage change orders during project execution.

4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting :

  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project and team performance.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.

5. Compliance & Standards :

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote a culture of safety and quality across all project management activities.

6. Core Skills & Competencies :

1. Technical Knowledge :

  • Strong understanding of steel structure manufacturing processes and project requirements.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).

2. Project Management Expertise :

  • Extensive experience in managing large-scale industrial or construction projects.
  • Skilled in cost control, scheduling, and risk management.

3. Leadership Skills :

  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of project managers and coordinators.
  • Strategic thinker with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

4. Communication & Interpersonal Skills :

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for stakeholder management.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.

5. Analytical Skills :

  • High attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex problems and find effective solutions.

6. Adaptability & Time Management :

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and business needs.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Civil, Structural, or Industrial) or related field, along with PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification, and at least 10 years of project management experience, including 5 years in leadership within the steel or construction industry. Familiarity with local regulations and standards in Saudi Arabia is a plus.
