We are currently hiring on behalf of our client, a leading global container liner company, for the position of Sales Manager in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Experience:
Minimum 5-10 years in a similar role within the Container Shipping industry.
Job Purpose:
- Lead the Sales team effectively.
- Canvass cargoes COC across all trade lanes to meet target liftings.
- Increase market presence.
- Maintain existing clientele.
- Expand relationships by presenting new solutions and services.
- Develop new business opportunities, customers, and revenue streams.
- Forecast and allocate resources efficiently.
- Respond promptly to quotations, troubleshoot, and handle customer inquiries.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Coach and develop the sales team.
- Drive sales performance.
- Prepare sales and marketing budgets.
- Build strong business relationships with existing and new customers.
- Secure business through regular contact and visits.
- Handle business development for designated trade lanes.
- Acquire new clients through referrals and networks.
- Meet individual KPIs and targets.
- Achieve TEU and revenue targets per vessel.
- Suggest improvements for revenue and profitability.
- Report sales activities and performance via CRM.
- Forecast market trends and gather market intelligence.
- Manage credit control, payments, and minimize outstanding balances.
- Coordinate with departments to resolve customer issues and uphold service standards.
- Travel as needed.

- External: JV partners, Customers, Agents
- Internal: HO Trade Management, Other Departments
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
Experience and Background
- At least 5 years managerial experience in sales within shipping/container line.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proven sales track record.
- Stable employment history.
