Job Title: Senior Payroll Officer

Job Purpose

To ensure accurate and timely processing of all payroll-related activities in compliance with internal policies and government regulations. Provide support in resolving complex payroll issues and act as a point of expertise within the payroll team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Review and approve monthly payroll data, ensuring accuracy and inclusion of all entitlements and deductions.
2. Supervise processing of salary adjustments including allowances, bonuses, deductions, delays, absences, loans, and penalties.
3. Reconcile payroll reports with accounting records and ensure alignment with financial reports.
4. Prepare monthly and quarterly payroll reports and related cost analysis.
5. Coordinate with the Finance Department to ensure timely salary disbursement.
6. Oversee processing of end-of-service benefits and final settlements for departing employees.
7. Ensure compliance with social insurance regulations, income tax (if applicable), and stay updated with regulatory changes.
8. Maintain full compliance with labor laws and internal payroll policies.
9. Support and train junior payroll staff and new joiners.
10. Address and resolve employee payroll inquiries professionally and promptly.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience, including 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
3. Solid understanding of labor laws, social insurance, and payroll regulations.
4. Proficient in payroll software; experience with ERP Dynamic, SAP, Oracle, or similar systems is preferred.
5. High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and ability to work under pressure.
6. Proficient in both Arabic and English.
