Nawa Foods is seeking a Health expert to enhance customer service and promote products in a retail environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in nutrition and a passion for health and wellness, providing customers with informed choices about their dietary needs. This role involves customer engagement, sales support, and teamwork to ensure a positive shopping experience.
As a Health expert at Nawa Foods, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service, promoting our products, and assisting customers in making informed decisions about their health and nutrition needs.
Job Description and Responsibilities:
·Efficient Transactions: Process customer purchases accurately and efficiently using our POS system.
·Cash Handling: Handle cash, credit, and electronic payments accurately, maintaining proper cash drawer balance.
·Bagging and Packaging: Carefully bag groceries and package products according to established guidelines.
·Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the cashier area clean and organized, ensuring a neat and welcoming checkout environment.
·Inventory Control: Assist in monitoring inventory levels and inform supervisors of any discrepancies.
·Adherence to Policies: Follow all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.
·Stock Management: Assist in receiving and organizing incoming inventory, ensuring proper storage and efficient stock rotation.
·Shelf Organization: Ensure shelves are properly stocked and products are accurately labeled and displayed, maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
·Cleaning and Sanitation: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the store, including sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting high-touch areas.
·Support Store Operations: Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations, which may include assisting in restocking, pricing, and inventory counts.
·Flexibility and Team Support: Willingness to step beyond the role's scope, assisting team members in various tasks to ensure the store's smooth operation.
·Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, addressing inquiries, and assisting them in finding products that align with their dietary preferences and health goals.
·Product Promotion: Promote Nawa Foods' products and educate customers on their nutritional benefits, ingredients, and sourcing practices.
·Nutritional Guidance: Utilize your knowledge of nutrition and public health to recommend products that support various dietary preferences and health conditions, including vegan, gluten-free, and organic options.
·Product Knowledge: Stay informed about the latest nutritional trends, dietary guidelines, and health-related topics to effectively communicate with customers and address their questions and concerns.
·Sales Support: Assist in stocking shelves, organizing displays, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment to enhance the shopping experience for customers.
·Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth store operations, including cashier duties, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
Qualification and Skills:
·Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in nutrition, public health, dietetics, or a related field. Certification in nutrition or public health is a plus.
·Experience: Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or a related field is preferred. Experience in the health food industry is an asset.
·Nutritional Knowledge: Strong understanding of nutrition principles, dietary guidelines, and different dietary patterns (e.g., vegetarian, keto, paleo).
·Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with customers and provide clear and concise nutritional guidance.
·Sales Skills: Strong sales skills with the ability to promote products, upsell, and close sales while maintaining a customer-centric approach.
·Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to a positive and supportive workplace culture.
·Passion for Health and Wellness: Genuine interest in health, wellness, and sustainable living with a commitment to promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
·Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on the needs of the business.
·Bilingual Skills: Proficiency in English is required. Proficiency in Arabic or other languages is an asset.
