Senior Medical Representative – Respiratory

Role Summary

Achieves business results through the management of the defined sales territory, building strong business relationships with Healthcare Professionals on the company’s products as per AZ code of conduct. Is a growing expert at products and patient needs knowledge, works under supervision.


What You’ll Do

Key / distinctive responsibilities:
  • Providing information to HCPs about AZ products, including promotion in accordance with
  • Acting as a champion for other functions
  • Providing support to the manager on competitive intelligence and data collection for team
  • Financial management
  • Improving own knowledge & skills
  • Achieve targets for Content driven engagement COE: daily interaction / call rate and coverage
  • Implementing team and cross-BU initiatives to improve overall performance / quality of work in Sales Force; participate in/drives implementation of corporate projects (SFE, country projects on KEE development, driving mentorship across SF, etc.); initiate working groups / facilitate exchange of best practices; assist in managing regional meetings / business case defense / training SF on assigned areas of expertise
Along with:
  • Engage healthcare professionals, relevant to Therapy Area, in dialogue about approved indications and product efficacy/safety profiles to support on-label prescribing for appropriate patients.
  • Effectively promote AZ products in accordance with AZ business strategy, ethical standards & approved TAP through: commercial visits, round tables, conferences, congresses, and seminars with healthcare professionals
  • Qualitatively build customers’ database on the defined territory, building and maintaining long-term relationships with key customers
  • Provide regular feedback on client contacts and commercial activities to FLSM and team members
  • Sustain and communicate excellent knowledge of Product, Disease, and Competitors
  • Actively seek help from colleagues to achieve objectives
  • Monitor, suggest, and implement actions to enhance performance
  • Conduct market research on the territory to analyze healthcare institutions’ needs for AZ products, competitors, and distributors’ activities
  • Work with FLSM to assess sales performance and market trends
  • Drive sales performance and ensure forecasts and budgets meet or exceed expectations.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of market, demographic, and managed markets information relative to the territory.
  • Comply with all regulations regarding interactions with healthcare professionals, distribution of samples, etc.
  • Complete all training requirements, including product examinations
Administration:
  • Ensure timely reporting of activities in Veeva CRM.
  • Adhere to reporting and administrative standards
Corporate Responsibility:
  • Maintain highest ethical standards and work in accordance with AstraZeneca Code of Ethics, following rules & norms set by policies
  • Ensure activities comply with local legislation and corporate standards.
  • Report health/environment/wellbeing accidents, adverse events, and conflicts of interest timely.

Essential For The Role
  • Experience in promoting medical products for at least two years in a multinational environment or equivalent
  • Performance development with at least 90% achievement in the last two years or 100% if only one year
  • Product and medical knowledge average of 90% across last 4 quarters
  • KPIs: 90% coverage and daily interaction in the last year
  • Experience building relationships with HCPs
  • Professional knowledge of healthcare environment, compliance, disease, science, and therapy area
  • Strong selling skills, business acumen, planning, and driving business
  • Self-motivation, development, interpersonal effectiveness
  • TAP knowledge and cross-functional collaboration
  • Competitive intelligence skills
