The opportunity
You as an Operations Planning Engineer will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
How you’ll make an impact
During the preparation phase of a project, the IPM is responsible for activities such as creating PT for the PM, process documentation, and reviewing Intranet or company quality management or process sequences. Responsibilities include checking the PT and adapting it to the actual scope of supply upon receipt of the order. Assembly planning involves creating a detailed sequence program with all project-relevant activities and personnel planning by determining personnel requirements and initiating reservations within your department and with suppliers. You will also create the schedule in consultation with the customer and PM, determine required assembly tools in cooperation with assembly personnel, and ensure timely procurement and shipping to the construction site. Additionally, you will coordinate the procurement of assembly consumables and infrastructure in consultation with project management, regulate responsibilities and information flows between project participants and the construction site, and determine delivery sequences in cooperation with sales and project execution teams. Supporting assigned personnel, monitoring costs through SAP, evaluating progress reports, and informing project managers and partners on work status and costs are also key tasks. You will inspect and initiate timesheets, discuss questionable reports with superiors, process deviation reports in SAP, monitor compliance with regulations, handle insurance cases, and coordinate personnel for commissioning. Ensuring adherence to quality assurance measures, supporting employees at the construction site, holding discussions with workers, participating in project meetings, and reporting unusual occurrences are essential responsibilities. Your background
A bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a high diploma is required. A minimum of 5+ years of experience, preferably with GIS and SF6 GAS handling, is preferred. Knowledge of HE-CH GIS products is advantageous. Proficiency in both spoken and written English is required.
