Job Title: Operation Supervisor (Heavy Equipment Rental)

Supervisor/Manager: Operations Manager

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Oversee daily operations of the heavy equipment rental business, ensuring efficient management of the fleet.
  2. Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize equipment utilization, maintenance, and logistics.
  3. Manage a team of operators, drivers, and technicians, including scheduling and performance monitoring.
  4. Coordinate delivery, setup, and pickup of rental equipment at customer sites.
  5. Address customer issues related to equipment rentals.
  6. Monitor equipment condition and maintenance schedules to maintain optimal fleet performance.
  7. Identify and implement process improvements for operational efficiency and cost savings.
  8. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  9. Maintain records of equipment usage, maintenance, and customer interactions.
  10. Collaborate with sales and customer service teams on equipment availability and pricing.
  11. Assist in developing maintenance plans and oversee scheduled services and repairs.
  12. Resolve operational issues and customer complaints promptly.
  13. Provide performance reports to the Operations Manager and stakeholders.
  14. Participate in developing the business strategy for the rental division.
  15. Seek opportunities to enhance customer experience and explore new revenue sources.
  16. Oversee operations of the rental business and workshop activities.
  17. Manage workshop technicians, rental coordinators, and logistics staff.
  18. Ensure timely delivery and return of rental equipment.
  19. Develop maintenance and repair schedules for the fleet.
  20. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement for replenishment.
  21. Analyze operational data to improve processes and productivity.
  22. Ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
  23. Implement operational policies and procedures.
  24. Train and guide team members to improve skills and knowledge.
  25. Collaborate with other departments to optimize overall business performance.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Valid heavy equipment operator's license or certification.
Experience
  • At least 5 years of supervisory or managerial experience in heavy equipment rental or related industry.
  • Proven experience managing heavy equipment fleets, including scheduling and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations and safety standards.
