Job description

Visual Merchandize Designer / Graphic Designer / Interior Designer

Key duties and responsibilities are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature as follows:

  1. Design different types of layouts & illustrations, posters, and advertisements
  2. Work on multitasks at the same time using a wide range of medias, including photography and multimedia
  3. Designing plano-grams and visual merchandize for different products, campaigns, and promotions
  4. Awareness of printing techniques, types of paper or canvas (size, weight), display options (light box, interactive display), cutting, and finalizing prints for display
  5. Knowledge of graphic animation, video editing, and creating media presentations using different software
  6. Produce visual solutions to communication needs using a mix of creative skills and commercial awareness
  7. Stay updated on current fashions in visual arts and possess a working knowledge of the latest computer packages, understanding material costs and time constraints impacting the design

Ability to: Work with team and managers to interpret and translate their needs into concepts; develop and translate them into effective communication materials; plan, coordinate, and organize projects and production processes to ensure timely and cost-effective completion; conceive, produce, and create files or artwork; work under pressure to meet deadlines; follow and give oral and written directions.

Knowledge of: Advanced experience in digital art, graphic design, layout, and illustration; operation of personal computers and current graphics software; principles and techniques of typesetting, color theory, digital printing, photography, and printing processes. Additionally, knowledge of retail visual practices, visual merchandising, and promotional campaigns.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Art and Design or Interior Design from an accredited university

Experience: Minimum of 3 years of mid or senior level graphic design experience, including experience working with retail environments
