MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
Lead construction engineers must be comfortable communicating design ideas, as they will collaborate with professionals including construction workers and architects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide structural expertise for design, detailing, construction, load out, transportation, and installation of heavy offshore oil, gas, and building sectors.
- Prepare and review structural engineering design, studies, drawings, and documents.
- Review designs for constructability and load out considering the allocated facility.
- Perform full structural calculations for different load cases, including static and dynamic analysis.
- Design connections (shop and field).
- Act as a technical authority and represent the company.
- Support bidding processes.
- Conduct technical reviews of engineering consultant outputs, especially when work is subcontracted.
- Participate in design reviews and follow-up actions.
- Implement day-to-day operations within the engineering department/section to ensure compliance with established standards and procedures.

- Maintain safety standards and comply with the Company’s Health, Safety, and Environment Management System requirements.
- Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
- Follow and uphold the Company’s quality standards in accordance with the Company Quality System requirements.
SOCIAL COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain the company’s social management system policy, report deviations against PSP IMS policy.
- Take responsibility to comply with social accountability requirements according to SA8000 standards.
- Cooperate with the Social Performance (SP) team for communication and to improve compliance with the social management system.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering in a relevant discipline.
- Knowledge of NDE, welding technology, and code systems.
- Data analysis skills.
- Report writing and business/technical correspondence skills.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience in power plants, substations, or synchronous condensers is essential.
