Job description

Role

As Senior Business Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring that project billing is completed on time, managing and controlling the entire billing process, and overseeing the customer master database. This role will ensure adherence to internal processes for customer creation, ensuring credit limits are assigned in compliance with company policy, and acting as a key liaison to ensure seamless execution of financial activities. The Senior Business Analyst will also be involved in process improvements, troubleshooting billing issues, and supporting the integration of new billing-related tools and systems.

Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather requirements, define project goals, and identify opportunities for process improvements.
  2. Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment of business and system solutions.
  3. Analyze financial data, trends, patterns, and performance metrics to generate actionable insights.
  4. Use data visualization tools and advanced analytics techniques to identify areas for cost optimization, revenue growth, and other business opportunities.
  5. Document and model current business processes using modeling tools, identifying inefficiencies or gaps in workflows and suggesting improvements to streamline operations.
  6. Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, business requirements, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for finance-related projects.
  7. Work closely with IT to translate business requirements into functional specifications for system implementations or enhancements.
  8. Participate in the design, development, and implementation of financial systems and solutions to support business goals.
  9. Lead testing efforts for new financial systems or process improvements, ensuring that solutions meet business needs and expectations.
  10. Communicate key findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  11. Present analysis results, project progress, and improvements in clear, concise, and actionable reports and presentations.
  12. Provide regular project updates to ensure stakeholders are informed of timelines, risks, and progress.
  13. Continuously analyze and identify opportunities for process optimization within finance and related areas.
  14. Propose and lead process improvement initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders to implement solutions that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  15. Work on automation and digital transformation projects to streamline repetitive tasks and improve data accuracy.
  16. Manage multiple projects and initiatives within the finance department, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., CFA, CBAP, PMP) is a plus.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in business analysis, preferably within a finance or financial services environment.
  • Proven experience in analyzing financial data, process modeling, and driving process improvements.
  • Experience with financial reporting tools such as Power BI, Excel Power queries, etc.
