We are seeking an experienced professional to lead strategic commercial opportunity mapping, deepen SCD market understanding, and drive business development projects for Saudi and Gulf regions. This exciting opportunity is for the role of Business Development Manager, Sickle Cell Disease (SCD), based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, reporting to the Senior Director, Rare Disease Business Unit.

The Position

As Business Development Manager for Sickle Cell Disease (SCD), you will play a key role in cultivating strong internal and external relationships to improve patient care and position Novo Nordisk as a leader in SCD therapy. Your responsibilities include developing a comprehensive understanding of clinical care pathways, treatment landscapes, and strategic collaborations, all while adhering to business ethics and compliance.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
  1. Drive Marketing Understanding: Map commercial opportunities, develop, implement, and execute SCD business development projects and tactics aligned with Novo Nordisk's SCD strategy, ensuring compliance and ethical standards.
  2. Landscape Mapping: Prepare and deliver a comprehensive mapping of the SCD landscape in Saudi Arabia and Gulf countries, including disease burden, clinical care pathways, treatment landscape, and business potential. Proactively identify trends and develop initiatives accordingly.
  3. Project and Resource Management: Develop detailed project plans, lead cross-functional teams, and ensure timely, on-budget delivery of projects in collaboration with regional affiliates. Manage project needs and budgets, including sourcing internal resources.
  4. Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain communication with external and internal stakeholders to identify needs and develop solutions. Build strategic collaborations for seamless project execution.
  5. Active Participation: Attend key internal and external forums, meetings, congresses, and symposiums related to SCD. Ensure strong participation and preparation for activities driven by Novo Nordisk in Saudi Arabia and Gulf regions.
