Job Description:

We are seeking a Professional SCE-certified, skilled, and experienced Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 9 years of proven experience in mechanical systems design, installation, and supervision for large/medium-scale infrastructure and building projects in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, HVAC systems, piping, plumbing, and fire protection systems. This role may offer the opportunity to work on complex projects across multiple locations in Saudi Arabia, including both design and supervision roles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and review mechanical systems such as HVAC, piping, plumbing, firefighting, and other building services.
• Perform mechanical load calculations, sizing, and component selection using engineering software and tools such as HAP, DuctSizer, and PipeSizer.
• Prepare and review mechanical design drawings, specifications, and BOQs in compliance with local codes and project requirements.
• Review all phases of mechanical shop drawings and materials submittals.
• Manage and supervise the execution of mechanical works on-site, ensuring adherence to approved designs, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (structural, architectural, electrical, civil, interior and safety) to ensure smooth project execution.
• Ensure that materials and installation methods comply with specifications and quality standards.
• Provide technical support to resolve site mechanical issues and challenges.
• Monitor construction progress and guide contractors in implementing mechanical engineering solutions.
• Conduct site inspections and visits to verify the quality and functionality of mechanical installations.
• Prepare and maintain technical reports, project documentation, and commissioning records.
• Review As-built drawings and O&M manuals for mechanical systems.
• Travel to various project sites across Saudi Arabia as needed to oversee mechanical engineering supervision and commissioning.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering systems, including HVAC, piping, plumbing, fire protection, and building automation systems.
• Proficiency in design and simulation software (e.g., BIM, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, HAP, DuctSizer, PipeSizer).
• knowledgeable of international and Saudi mechanical codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, SBC, etc.).
• Capable of conducting load calculations and equipment sizing and preparing technical documentation.
• Knowledge of sustainable design and energy-efficient systems is an advantage.
• Knowledge of writing material specifications and BOQ.
• Competency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering attested by a related Saudi authority or a related field.
• Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, or equivalent) are preferred.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) is required.
• Must be certified and have a valid professional degree from the Saudi Council of Engineers.

Experience:

• Minimum of 9 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer in projects in Saudi Arabia.
• Proven experience in mechanical design, site supervision, and commissioning of HVAC and MEP systems.
• Prior experience in design and supervision of mechanical works in various projects within Saudi Arabia is essential.
• Solid understanding of Saudi construction practices, regulations, and building codes.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes.

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to travel and work at multiple project sites across Saudi Arabia.
• Strong communication, interpersonal skills, leadership, problem-solving.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Fluent in English, both written and verbal, is a must.
• Immediate transfer of Iqama or within one month.
