Job description

Job Definition:

Ambitious and energetic Business Development Manager focused on business and network sustainability and expansion with dedication to the development of supply chain excellence throughout the Spare Parts network and forge strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders. Also responsible for carrying out analysis related to engagement requirements to support teams working on assignments ranging from conceptualization and implementation of business planning, process re-engineering and cost reduction initiatives for the client and full realisation of SLA KPIs for the customer and employer. Actively participate in preparation of proposal presentations, points of view / Operational improvement initiatives/ practice undertaken for the end client’s Operational Excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing a business development strategy focused on financial gains.
  • Arranging business development meetings with prospective clients.
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs.
  • To work with internal and external clients to deliver on specific metrics / goals as set by internal / external client management.
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives.
  • Prepare contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines.
  • Deliver on progress charting on course during the Improvement project for realisation on KPIs like fill rate, Denial, and productivity and work on parallel avenues like inventory targets, forecast accuracy for supply chain for clients as the project evolves.
  • Arrange and participate in client meetings for active collaboration and delivery of services. Be proactive in communicating with client to identify critical data points and create database of the same.
  • Collaborate with internal solutions and other delivery excellence teams/individuals to create a world class delivery experience for the customer driven by data enabled CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action).
  • Proactively identify data driven value initiatives and drive them to closure with measurable impact under the head of self-driven kaizen initiatives.

Skills and Competencies:

Domain Skills

  • Market knowledge.
  • Understanding of various supply chain processes like forecasting, supply planning, distribution planning, inventory management
  • Should be able to analyse large sets of disconnected data applying statistical techniques like regression and correlation from a supply chain standpoint
  • Brief exposure (Academic) to Operations Research optimization techniques like Linear Programming and Optimization
  • Working knowledge of MS excel is a must (Pivots, charts, trends, lookups)
  • Exposure to advanced tools like SAS, SPSS, MATLAB, R will be an added advantage
  • Working knowledge of MS Power point

Soft Skills:

  • Fluent communication in English (Written as well as Spoken)
  • Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing business needs like global working environments
  • Job may involve travels to customer locations or outlets frequently. Hence preferable not to have any travel constraints
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build rapport
  • Time management and planning skills

Work Environment:

  • Working Days: 5 Working Days
  • Days off: 2 Days Off
  • Working Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1 hour break)
