Job Title Senior Specialist, Digital and Automation
Job Purpose
To lead the design, development, and deployment of digital and automation solutions across Ma’aden’s business units, enabling scalable transformation through advanced technologies. The role supports the Digitalization Taskforce by translating strategic initiatives into executable use cases, integrating AI/ML, RPA, and process automation, and ensuring alignment with enterprise digital architecture. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable value in efficiency, safety, and sustainability, while building internal capability and reducing reliance on external vendors.
Key Accountabilities
Collaborate with the Principal Engineer to identify and evaluate Digitalization & automation use cases for enhancing process efficiency and reducing reliance on conventional technologies.
Collaborate with the principal and lead engineers to monitor, track and visually manage the progress and impact of digitalization and automation use cases across the organization
Conduct technical research to explore potential Digital and automation applications and stay updated with emerging trends and advancements in the field.
Contribute to the development of testing and validation protocols to ensure successful implementation of new technologies.
Collaborate with the Principal Engineer to establish best practices, standards, policies, and procedures for the adoption of the digital and automation applications.
Stay updated with industry best practices and advancements in data science and artificial intelligence, digital and automation, and share knowledge with the team.
Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Competencies
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, IT Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field
Minimum Experience:
3+ years of experience in digital and automation technologies, with a focus on driving innovation and efficiency improvements in the extractive industry.
