Job Purpose: To implement and coordinate a comprehensive Employee Health, Safety, and Environmental System for Vallourec employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Serve as the staff safety specialist by developing and implementing procedures to control accident and health exposures, minimizing OSHA citations.
  2. Ensure safe work rules and practices are understood, implemented, and consistently followed by employees.
  3. Maintain awareness and existence of a relevant health and safety policy.
  4. Ensure a safe workplace with no risk to health, including safe plant and machinery, proper assessment of risks, and implementation of necessary measures.
  5. Coordinate with relevant authorities for audits and remedial actions.
  6. Maintain facilities to meet health, safety, and welfare requirements.
  7. Implement controls for hazardous substances and risks from flammable, explosive, electrical, noise, radiation, and manual handling hazards.
  8. Monitor and report on health and safety practices and systems.
  9. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  10. Design and conduct safety and environmental training programs.
  11. Collect, analyze, and maintain safety data.
  12. Evaluate hazardous conditions and recommend controls.
  13. Coordinate the implementation of the company's HSE policy.
  14. Participate in audits and implement corrective actions.
  15. Conduct HSE risk assessments and coordinate mitigation actions.
  16. Monitor the implementation of Chemsafe - Quark.
  17. Ensure adequate first aid and welfare facilities are available.
  18. Manage emergency procedures, safety signs, protective equipment, and incident reporting.
  19. Oversee proper disposal of waste.
  20. Prepare and monitor division budget requirements and expenditures.
  21. Understand and identify safety signs and company safety rules.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of practical experience in an HSE environment, with solid knowledge of ISO and OSHAS standards.
  • Occupational Safety and Health Certificate as a Professional.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business Administration, Marketing) or equivalent.
  • Preferably at least five years of supervisory experience.
  • Computer literacy (email, Excel, Word) for data compilation and reporting.
  • Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge and application of Company QHSE Policies and Procedures.
  • Ability to supervise, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks effectively.
  • Flexible approach to operational requirements.
  • Ability to operate and care for company equipment and machinery.
  • Fluent in English (writing and speaking).
