Overview

We are seeking a Business Development Professional to join the Champions Department.

The Champions Department is responsible for delivering end-to-end product development, entrepreneurship, and investment opportunities to transform lucrative business ideas into champions that foster job creation and economic growth.

As a Business Development Professional, you will accelerate idea development to reach commercialization, support innovators in developing groundbreaking ideas from conception to completion, and facilitate the launch of technology-based startups.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform financial due diligence and analysis on prospective investment targets, including detailed financial valuation analysis.
• Conduct industry market research and gather market intelligence to identify potential opportunities in targeted sectors such as Sustainability/Climate Tech, MedTech, HardTech, and Fintech.
• Develop, validate, and refine innovative business models aligned with long-term strategic goals.
• Create financial models to improve return on investment and support financial planning.
• Prepare financial documents for presentation to investors.
• Analyze company accounts and financial projections to advise on investment positioning.
• Provide updates on financial market activities to position the company effectively in local and global markets.
• Develop an investment policy aligned with company strategy and criteria for evaluating projects.
• Ensure compliance with all investment regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• BS degree in an engineering discipline and an MBA.
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification is a plus.
• 7+ years of experience in venture building or investment, including business case development and investment assessment.
• Strong understanding of financial setup, procedures, statistics, modeling, and economics.
• Excellent problem-solving, project management, analytical, and communication skills.
