The Job

  • Assist the senior management to formulate strategies, plans and policies for CES services and facilities in alignment with the corporate goals.
  • Oversee the operation of the CES services and facilities, ensuring these services and facilities are operated within available resources and according to the corporate strategies and financial targets laid down by HKHS.
  • Monitor service administration of CES team and relevant system development, conducting service evaluation and monitoring intra-team coordination across housing estates of HKHS.
  • Develop and implement the promotion plan and activities of the CES services through various channels, including but not limited to mass media and social media.
  • Engage and develop collaborative relationships with local and international elderly/community service providers, professional organizations, government departments, user groups, foundations and related private agencies.
  • Represent the Social and Elderly Wellness Section (SEWS) in relevant meetings, working groups and conferences, whenever necessary.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned by the supervisor deems appropriate.

The Person

  • Degree holder, preferably in social work, or other healthcare related discipline or equivalent.
  • Minimum 12 years relevant experience serving the elderly, family or community, including 8 years at management position. Possess gerontology/management qualification will be a definite advantage.
  • Demonstrate business acumen, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possess experience in operating self-financing services will be a definite advantage.
  • Familiar with social services delivery process, cost control and budget making.
  • Fluent spoken English and Cantonese, and good written English and Chinese.
