Job description

  • Explaining the MRI process to patients and ensuring the patients comply with all safety standards.
  • Positioning, and possibly sedating, patients to capture clear images of the correct area of the body.
  • Removing and then replacing IVs and catheters for the MRI process.
  • Maneuvering the MRI equipment and positioning it to capture the correct images.
  • Monitoring patients during scanning and maintaining patients' records.
  • Monitoring MRI equipment functions.
  • Ensuring clear images for Physicians to provide accurate diagnoses.
  • Recognizing abnormalities and irregularities in images.
  • Ensure radiation safety.
  • Comply with CBAHI, MOH, SCFHS, and Nuclear Authorities standards and regulations.

Qualification & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor s degree in Radiology Technology.
  • Proof of radiation safety Training and Competency.
  • Competency in MRI.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Qualification is highly preferred.
  • Current Registration in the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the radiology department.

Skills and Competencies:

  • PACS competent.
  • Knowledge of regulations established by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties related to healthcare practices.
  • Broad knowledge of radiological principles, standards, and practices.
  • Proven experience working as an MRI technician.
  • Ability to move or lift patients.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • A patient and compassionate disposition.
  • Skills to operate technology equipment and web application software related to the position.
