Job Overview:
We are seeking a Supply and Demand Planning Lead to optimize our supply chain operations and ensure product availability while minimizing waste. The role involves leading integrated supply and demand planning strategies within a dynamic environment to meet customer demand, improve inventory efficiency, and achieve operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute integrated supply and demand planning strategies to meet customer demand and optimize inventory levels.
- Lead the monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, aligning with commercial, finance, and operations teams.
- Forecast demand accurately using historical data, market trends, and insights from sales and marketing teams.
- Manage supply planning and replenishment, ensuring timely procurement and distribution of goods.
- Monitor and analyze forecast accuracy, taking corrective actions when necessary.
- Collaborate with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure continuity and efficiency in the supply chain.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, delays, or overstocking.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of planners, fostering continuous improvement and capability building.
- Drive enhancements in planning tools, systems, processes, and dashboards.
- Work closely with procurement, finance, and commercial teams to align planning activities with business goals.
- Lead Top Management Review (TMR) meetings to ensure accurate sales estimates and alignment with performance.
- Implement Integrated Business Planning (IBP) Class A methodology to drive best-in-class planning practices.
- Track and report on supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contracts and service standards.
Strategy & Planning:
- Contribute to the development of the division’s ABCs and OKRs, ensuring alignment with other functions.
- Make strategic decisions supporting the division's objectives and future direction.
- Track relevant OKRs and KPIs to ensure goal achievement and address areas of improvement.
People Management:
- Set clear objectives, offer support, and provide feedback to direct reports.
- Actively participate in recruiting and developing key talent.
- Encourage knowledge sharing, innovation, and collaboration within the team.
Budget Management:
- Own the budgeting cycle and manage the department within budget.
- Formulate strategies to positively impact financial outcomes and minimize operational risks.
Governance and Resilience:
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and control in daily tasks.
- Continuously look for opportunities to enhance processes and practices for operational effectiveness.
Minimum Requirements:
- 6-8 years of relevant experience in supply and demand planning, supply chain management, or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Proven experience leading and optimizing supply chain operations, with a focus on forecasting, inventory management, and supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with planning systems and tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop teams.
- Experience in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) methodologies is a plus.
