A leading company in the aerospace sector is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Supervisor to ensure aircraft availability and manage maintenance operations for the RSAF. The role requires significant experience in aircraft maintenance, leadership skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. Candidates should possess relevant technical qualifications and a strong background in supervising engineering personnel.
Responsibilities
The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor works in a highly challenging yet rewarding environment, playing a key role in aircraft generation for the RSAF customer. This high-profile role involves interfacing with departments such as SMSCMC, Workshops, Quality, Product Safety, and MODSAP.
The role balances leading the resolution of complex engineering issues and managing the team, including oversight of applicable rules and regulations. Activities vary daily.
Responsible for rectifying Fast Jet aircraft to ensure aircraft availability meeting organizational commitments and customer KPIs.
Perform first stage/mandatory and independent certification of completed tasks by Maintenance Team Technicians, including Red-X clearance.
Liaise with Aircraft Maintenance Supervisors regarding the maintenance schedule.
Ensure work complies with standards and procedures outlined in the MOE.
Reporting to the On Aircraft Support Superintendent, the Electrical Supervisor oversees Fast Jet Aircraft On-Aircraft Maintenance, training, and manpower.
Ensure strict tool control as per procedures.
Plan shift patterns and optimize manpower utilization.
Manage sickness and absence according to policy.
Manage spare parts using IMS and Gold ESP logistics systems.
Act as a leader in continuous improvement initiatives.
Job Requirements:
Essential:
Recognized qualification at NVQ3/ONC/OND/BTEC level or equivalent in a relevant technical discipline or apprenticeship acceptable to M&CA.
At least 7 years of post-qualification maintenance experience or 3 years on Fast Jet Aircraft airframe system testing.
Holds 2nd signature.
Proven leadership skills and ability to supervise engineering personnel.
Desirable:
Experience with Maintenance GOLD system and IMS.
Ability to interpret technical diagrams and documentation.
Ability to diagnose and rectify faults rapidly and accurately.
Familiarity with Pt. 145 regulations and Pt M organisation.
Ability to tow aircraft and supervise tow team.
