Qualifications

Job description

To carry out operations & maintenance activities — including inspections, preventive, corrective, or repair works — following set standards and procedures for the concerned assets within the premises, ensuring their timely availability, reliability, safety, and efficiency.

Electrical

• Gather tools and supplies for work site
• Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit
• Drill holes for wiring; pull or push wiring through openings
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and fastening objects such as wiring, conduit, and motors
• Perform minor repairs, e.g., replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches
• Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and parts
• Keep work area, tools, and equipment clean
• Perform routine duties as required
• Transport tools, materials, components, and refuse to/from work area
• Lift or hold parts during fitting, aligning, and fastening
• Bolt or unbolt parts
• Cut and thread pipes to specified lengths; pack pipes
• Pass electrical wires through conduit, splice wire connections, and tape wires
• Assemble sheet metal components of prefabricated furnaces
• Lubricate fans, motors, and control units

Plumbing

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on plumbing systems as per asset register and planner
• Respond professionally to reactive plumbing work, fault finding, and rectification
• Implement modifications to plumbing systems to meet client requirements
• Report workload, quality, and key issues regularly to supervisor
• Develop understanding of plumbing methods and advise on equipment performance improvements

Desired Candidate Profile

• Diploma or 2-year Industrial Training in relevant field
• 5 to 7 years’ experience in maintenance in the relevant field
• Proficiency in English; strong coordination, numerical, communication, and safety skills; knowledge of SOPs and work instructions
