Position Overview

The Field Service Engineer for Leica Biosystems is responsible for delivering onsite technical service in Saudi Arabia, ensuring high customer satisfaction while meeting revenue and KPI targets.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform onsite service and maintenance for histopathology instruments within Leica Biosystems portfolio.
  2. Support customers and colleagues proactively to maximize satisfaction.
  3. Visit customers for installations, preventative maintenance, repairs, fault analysis, and upgrades, ensuring professional and timely service.
  4. Provide phone and occasional Helpdesk support to minimize downtime.
  5. Perform root cause analysis in the field or in the business/manufacturing units.
  6. Support within Saudi Arabia and occasionally within the EU.
  7. Work remotely as part of the Field Service team based in Saudi Arabia.
Opportunities in this Role
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, repairs, fault analysis, and upgrades to ensure excellent customer care and meet team KPIs.
  • Install histopathology and ancillary equipment onsite.
  • Deliver accurate reports and manage service documentation via Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with the Field Support Team to provide industry-leading after-sales service.
  • Assist the sales team with customer training, installations, demonstrations, and system builds.
  • Share information from customer contacts to enhance satisfaction and update CRM and knowledge databases.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electronic, or Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Field Service or related to histopathology equipment.
  • Knowledge of network configurations, firewalls, TCP/IP, and Windows environments is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • Ability to learn independently and build technical expertise.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 25kg safely.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • High commitment to service quality.
  • Customer-focused mindset and open to travel up to 80% within the territory.
