Overview:

As the In Possession Coach at Al-Qadsiah Club, you will be responsible for leading the technical and tactical development of the team’s in-possession game model. You will ensure alignment with the club’s overarching football philosophy, known as the ‘Qadsiah Way,’ and collaborate closely with the coaching, data, and analysis departments to continuously evolve our playing style.

Key Responsibilities:

Game Model

  • Develop and implement the in-possession game model across all phases of play
  • Create and maintain a Qadsiah in-possession Play Book
  • Embed the Play Book into first team operations via sessions and analysis
  • Collaborate with Head Coach and staff to ensure alignment and clarity

Coaching

  • Assist in weekly training planning with a focus on in-possession principles
  • Design and lead on-the-grass sessions related to in-possession play
  • Partner with the Individual Development Coach to offer tailored player coaching
  • Coordinate with U21 coaches to align philosophy and standards
  • Lead in-match in-possession analysis and suggest real-time adjustments
  • Apply modern pedagogical approaches for effective player learning

Collaboration and Reporting

  • Partner with data and insight teams to evolve in-possession metrics
  • Work with analysis department to design in-possession match strategies
  • Provide in-possession data and insights to support internal reporting and decision-making

Other

  • Ensure professional standards and CPD requirements are always met
  • Complete additional tasks as required by the Technical Director or Head Coach

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • UEFA Pro Licence (or equivalent)

Desirable:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Coaching or related field

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

Essential:

  • Proven background in professional football coaching
  • Demonstrated success through improved performance at previous clubs
  • Expertise in implementing in-possession strategies and methodology
  • Ability to convert data insights into practical, on-field sessions
  • Strong communication skills to clearly deliver tactical messaging
  • Skilled in producing reports and presenting to technical and executive staff
  • Collaborative mindset with strong teamwork across departments
  • Cultural adaptability and willingness to learn about Saudi football
  • Fluent in English

Desirable:

  • Experience using video tools such as HUDL, Wyscout, or Sportscode
  • Previous coaching experience in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East
  • Multilingual skills (Spanish, Arabic, English)
