Job description

OVERALL PURPOSE:

The Project Controls Section Head is responsible for managing the project control section, establishing all its processes and procedures to control the cost and schedule of ongoing projects.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  1. Control project progress and costs.
  2. Develop and maintain a comprehensive project status register.
  3. Develop monitoring tools and report any non-compliance.
  4. Coordinate with the scheduling section regarding project schedules.
  5. Monitor project cash flow and available funds.
  6. Analyze project performance data to identify risks and issues early.
  7. Prepare and maintain the entity portfolio cost report, showing budgets for each project, forecast commitments, and actual costs.
  8. Ensure all projects update the monthly dashboards in accordance with NWC’s guidelines.
  9. Review, validate, and consolidate project monthly dashboards and reports, highlighting any concerns.
  10. Perform any other tasks assigned by the direct manager or supervisor that are within the scope of the job, provided these tasks do not fundamentally alter the core responsibilities of the role.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

8+ years of relevant experience.
